Best Practices for Online Discussion Boards

Online discussion boards can enhance student participation and peer-to-peer interaction. During this session, we will review the literature on how to design and deliver effective discussion boards. We will discuss drafting prompts, instructions, and rubrics. We will also look at ways to use boards for reflection, peer feedback, and incorporating current events into course materials. As part of the discussion, I will share some prompts I’ve used for discussion boards in my legal research classes.
