Rules as Code is a proposal to modernize policy development, legislative drafting, public administration, compliance and more, by digitizing laws and regulations. Jason Morris is a leading expert in Rules as Code, and the developer of Blawx. Blawx is a user friendly web based tool designed to allow non-programmers to create and validate encodings of legislation and regulation. Jason is also a former sessional instructor of "Coding the Law" at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law.
In this session, Jason will introduce the concept of Rules as Code, talk about the tools and skills that are required to bring it to reality, and demonstrate how Blawx is used to teach those skills to non-programmer lawyers inside the government of Canada.
See how legal knowledge representation could supercharge the legal experts of tomorrow.
